Are you over 17?: yeup!
Characters in Forest Covered: n/a

( CHARACTER INFORMATION )
Name/Work Name: Sawamura Daichi { Dad }
Canon: Haikyuu!!
Canon Point: ch. 71, after deciding to stay in the club and work towards the Spring High.
Age: 17
History: Wiki link - there isn't too much as far as personal history outside of the volleyball club and a few choice flashbacks, but I would be happy to flesh it out more if need be.
Personality:
Debt: Daichi wants, as captain, to bring his team to Nationals and to finally shift the Karasuno reputation from Flightless to Flying. Where it's supposed to be.
Suitability: Daichi will not like the fact he was tricked into this. If not for his own pride, then the fact that it takes him away from (what he assumes is) his team and training. Every day that he's here is a day that he's not helping them get better, that he himself is not getting better, and they can't risk a single day. He'll most likely be more mad at himself for screwing up like this in the first place, and getting himself tricked, but he's not going to let himself get too hung up over it. If he works off his debt, he can get back to his team, and when he realizes so many of them are here, he will most likely want to help work off their debts as well.
Inventory:
Abilities, Strengths, and Weaknesses: Daichi is human, through and through, which means that his abilities and strengths are on a much more normal level. He's incredibly good at volleyball, quick on his feet and with great reflexes. He is also quite smart, in the top of his class even with all the time he spends practicing. His confidence and his ability to remain calm in tense situations is one of his greatest strengths, especially as a captain, and this relays onto other areas of life as well. Beyond the simple weaknesses of a normal teenage boy (mortality and all that), Daichi's biggest weakness would most likely be how quick he is to put others before himself. If need be, he would do just about anything for his team, or those he cares about, even at his own expense. He leads mostly by example, but he is quick to step in for others if he has the ability to, shouldering any and everything he can.

Age: 17
History: Wiki link - there isn't too much as far as personal history outside of the volleyball club and a few choice flashbacks, but I would be happy to flesh it out more if need be.
Personality:
When it comes to summarizing Daichi Sawamura, the only thing that doesn't fall short is "captain".
Determined, caring, driven, responsible, reliable - these are all things that can be attributed to Karasuno's captain, and even still they wouldn't grab the whole picture. From a young age Daichi came to love volleyball, and like anything in his life, as soon as he decided to put his heart into something, it was there. It seemed only natural to fall into the position of captain, with how Daichi was naturally inclined to talking up his teammates, knowing just what to say and when to say it to keep his team up and moving. It's been commented on by his coach, and others, that he has a very commanding aura when on the court and that same aura follows him off of it as well.
Usually, he seems quite calm. Collected, smart and in control, he has a presence that screams confidence despite the status of his team. Daichi recalls, at one point, the feeling of walking through the streets of his home town when Karasuno was in its prime, feeling the intensity that came from players who could reach that far, who could make it that far. He decided then and there that he would go to Karasuno for his high school years, and even as the reputation of the Crows fell from a high ranking team to the "Un-Flying Crows", Daichi never gave up. Never gives up, even when their team is down and it's looking grim. He has the utmost confidence, the utmost composure, and the utmost belief in himself and his teammates. And when it comes down to it, it's the job of the captain to hold his team up, and the job of the captain to take responsibility when they fall, and it's Daichi's natural composition to shoulder and take on all responsibility for everything. He can do that, if it means supporting those he cares about, even when it becomes almost too much for him to bear alone.
He never lets himself appear tired, though, not to those on the outside or even those close to him. By taking on the responsibility that he does (on his own accord, too), he is the last resort. The last line. There are very few people who have ever seen Daichi lose composure, seen him stumble, and Daichi keeps that list as short as he possibly can.Not because he thinks he's invincible, or he doesn't trust his friends, but because he knows that everyone else has their own problems and he doesn't need to add to them (hypocritical to a point, yes, but it's how he thinks).
In addition to his normal calm, Daichi has the potential to be quite terrifying when he wants to be. If his patience is tested or if he's trying to get his point across, Daichi is not afraid to present himself as something much darker and much scarier than he actually is. A lot of the fear comes when he's not there, a fear that a lot of the teammates have when it comes to pissing him off. If you knew him well enough you'd know that there weren't many reasons to be scared of him, unless you want to test his patience, or get out of hand. He's a lot like a dad that way - with a temper there you don't want to push, that doesn't come out much at all. But the threat of it is scarier than any actual proof.
Of course, he is just a teenager. He's likes joking around with his friends, he gets excited about his passions, and he really loves playing volleyball. He's easy-going, generally social and out-going personality wise, and he's not difficult to get along. Sometimes he comes across as a little too serious, but that generally has to do with his drive and his determination to reach his goals than anything else. He has his doubts, and he has his insecurities, but as a captain he knows he's more valuable to his teammates, and those he cares about, if he can stand strong and firm. An example. Something to strive to be. And if he needs to be the one to take care of everyone to do that, that's fine with him.
